Becky Lynch will be out for “several months” in an announcement made by WWE.
Lynch opened the August 1st Raw with her right arm in a sling. The former Raw Women’s Champion addressed the WWE Universe, stating that her shoulder was separated during the match at SummerSlam against Bianca Belair. Lynch would then go on to say that despite the shoulder separation, she would persevere through the pain for a further 20 minutes, and would then acknowledge the hard work done by the WWE Women’s division.
Becky Lynch then stated that this will be a new era and a new comeback story before inviting Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair out to thank the champion. Lynch stated that she would see Belair soon, but would then be attacked backstage by Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.
Belair ran to the aide of her former foe, but the new trio had already exited the area. The injury announcement was made on WWE’s social media later in the night.
