Wrestling Ratings From April 22nd 2022

The ratings for the April 22nd editions of WWE SmackDown and AEW Rampage have been published. On average, 1.952 million people watched SmackDown and 518,000 people watched AEW Rampage. The numbers have been obtained by Brandon Thurston from Wrestlenomics:

Compared to the previous week, SmackDown has seen a drop in viewers while Rampage has seen an increase. As the April 15th SmackDown saw an average audience of 2.142 million obtained, the drop calculates to approximately 8.9%. In regards to key demographic viewership, SmackDown obtained a 0.47 rating in the 18 to 49 age range, also down from the 0.48 rating from April 15th.

Referencing the Rampage ratings difference, the April 15th show saw an average audience of 482,000 obtained, meaning the increase calculates to approximately 7.5%. Rampage obtained a 0.19 rating in the key demographic, down from the 0.22 rating from April 15th.

SmackDown was main evented by a lumberjack match between Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn, setting up a steel cage match for the following week. Rampage saw an inter-promotional match take place, as AEW star Adam Cole faced New Japan wrestler Tomohiro Ishii.
