WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler will be briefly returning to the commentary desk for Monday Night Raw.
It was announced on the April 4th edition of the Raw post-show Raw Talk that Lawler will be briefly filling in on commentary duties for regular Raw announcer Corey Graves. The reason for this is becasue Graves will be marrying Carmella later this month. The length of Lawler’s commentary stint on Raw has not been confirmed specifically, but during the Raw Talk broadcast it was mentioned that it will be for more than one episode.
In the run up to WrestleMania 38, Corey Graves gave an interview to The Athletic. In the interview, Graves confirmed that the date of the wedding has been set for Thursday April 7th.
Jerry “The King” Lawler is one of the most recognised voices in wrestling commentary, having announced WWE shows full time from 1998 up until 2015. The WWE Hall of Famer has made sporadic appearances behind the commentary desk in the years since.
