Swerve Strickland’s AEW in-ring debut date and opponent have been announced.
The recent AEW signee will be having his first match for the promotion on the March 11th episode of Rampage. Strickland will be facing Tony Nese on the show.
Swerve Strickland’s first appearance for All Elite Wrestling was seen at the Revolution pay-per-view. AEW commentator Tony Schiavone came on to the entrance ramp with a contract in hand, promoting a new acquisition for the company. Swerve would then come out onto the ramp and sign the contract to the delight of the live crowd.
Strickland then appeared in a backstage segment with Schiavone on the March 9th Dynamite. Shortly after the interview began, Tony Nese would come in to interrupt and the match was made official shortly afterwards.
The announced card for the March 11th Rampage is as follows:
- Swerve Strickland vs. Tony Nese.
- Keith Lee vs. QT Marshall
- Jamie Hayter vs. Mercedes Martinez
- Darby Allin vs. Marq Quen
