The release date and cover star of the upcoming WWE 2K22 video game have been revealed. In an update by WWE and 2K games, it has been revealed that the new video game will be released on March 11th 2022. It has also been announced that Rey Mysterio will be the cover star for WWE 2K22, with the cover art being revealed below:
The release of WWE 2K22 will be the first major console release since the critically panned game WWE 2K20, which was filled with bugs and bad character rendering, making the game unplayable with many users.
It should be noted that with the amount of releases taking place in the past 12 months, it will be interesting to see which names from the WWE main roster and NXT will be present in the WWE 2K22 game.
