Kevin Owens Reportedly Re-Signs With WWE

Kevin Owens has signed a new deal with WWE according to a new report. The former Universal Champion’s contract was reportedly due to expire in early 2022, but the new contract has now been described as a “multi-year deal” in the report.

The news has been reported by Fightful Select. In the report, it is stated that Kevin Owens has been made “an excellent offer” to remain with WWE. While some had speculated that Owens may let his contract expire and then go on to AEW as a free agent, the report states that of the AEW talent that has been spoken to, they did not believe that All Elite Wrestling would match the offer made by WWE.

It should be noted that while this news has been reported by Fightful, neither WWE or Kevin Owens are yet to comment on this reported news.

Kevin Owens current contract was signed in early 2019, with a 3 year deal running until early 2022. At the time of writing, Owens has captured 7 championships during his WWE tenure. On top of the Universal Championship, Owens has won the NXT Championship once, The United States Championship 3 times and the Intercontinental Championship twice.

The Prize-fighter has an opportunity to add the WWE Championship to his list of accolades at the Day 1 pay-per-view. On the New Year’s Day event, Owens, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley and champion Big E will compete in a Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE Championship.
