Zelina Vega was victorious in the inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament. Vega defeated Doudrop in the finals of the first time tournament at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia.
Zelina defeated Toni Storm in the opening round, Carmella in the semi-finals and Doudrop in the finals of the first ever Queen’s Crown tournament. While the tournament has progressed the equality for women, with both men and women taking part in their respective tournaments, many have criticised the match times for the Queen’s Crown compared to the King of the Ring. On the same show, Xavier Woods was crowned the new King of the Ring. As with Wood’s victory, it is still unsure if either he or Zelina Vega will be getting rewarded for being victorious in their tournaments, or will just simply adopt the royalty gimmick.
