A former tag team in WWE have been announced for the upcoming IMPACT pay per view Bound For Glory. Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee, now going by the team name of The IInspiration, were announced by IMPACT during the Knockouts Knockdown pay per view:
In their time in WWE, Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee were known as Billie Kay and Peyton Royce respectively, with their team known as The IIconics. At WrestleMania 35, The IIconics won a Fatal 4 Way match to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. This was their only championship won in their time in WWE.
Both McKay and Lee were released from their WWE contracts in April 2021. Despite their 90 day no-compete clauses coming to an end in mid July, neither of The IInspiration have wrestled since their WWE release. This is due to visa issues from both superstars, as applying for a work permit to work in the United States is a lengthy process. This obstacle has been mentioned by both Jessica and Cassie in interviews following their releases.
IMPACT Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay per view takes place on Saturday October 23rd. Matches announced for the show include Christian Cage defending the IMPACT World Championship against Josh Alexander and Deonna Purrazzo defending the IMPACT Knockouts Championship against Mickie James.
