Carmelo Hayes is the winner of the 2021 NXT Breakout Tournament. On the August 24th edition of the black and gold brand, Hayes defeated Odyssey Jones in the final of the tournament.
The victory gives Carmelo Hayes a Championship contract in NXT. Hayes can challenge for any Champion in NXT, but has not currently made a decision on which title he will be going for.
Although Odyssey Jones was unsuccessful in the tournament, it is likely that Jones along with the majority of the Breakout Tournament contestants will be featured on NXT in the future. 2019’s edition of the tournament saw the NXT fanbase be introduced to superstars including Dexter Lumis, Cameron Grimes and current north American Champion Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott.
