A title change occurred on the the August 13th edition of SmackDown. Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
Nakamura hit Crews with the Kinshasha knee strike to capture his second Intercontinental title in WWE. Following the victory, Rick Boogs joined the new champion in a celebration and rocked out with commentator Pat McAfee on the SmackDown announce table.
Since signing with WWE, Nakamura has captured 7 championships. Shinsuke has won the NXT, Intercontinental and United States Championships twice, along with a SmackDown Tag Team Championship reign with Cesaro.
