Paul Orndorff Passes Away

Paul Orndorff, also known by the name ‘Mr Wonderful’ has died aged 71. The news was announced on Monday by Orndorff’s son Travis on Instagram:

Paul Orndorff was a legend in the industry. ‘Mr Wonderful’ competed in the main event of the first WrestleMania. In the match Orndorff teamed with Roddy Piper to take on Hulk Hogan and Mr T. Paul Orndorff would later go on to wrestle in WCW, where he captured the Television Championship once and the Tag Team Championships twice. In 2005, Orndorff was recognised for his many accomplishments by being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Many have taken to social media to express their condolences over the sad news. Hulk Hogan, who competed against Paul Orndorff at WrestleMania, had the following to say:

A cause of death is unknown at this time. The family of Paul Orndorff have started a Go Fund Me page to raise money for the funeral expenses. The link to that page can be found here.
