Bronson Reed has provided more information regarding his injury.
Last seen competing in the Men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, Reed attempted to hit a Tsunami splash from the top of the cage onto Roman Reigns through a table. However, Reigns was pulled off the table by CM Punk at the last second, resulting in Reed crashing to the mat.
Not featured for the rest of the match, fans feared that the former North American Champion was hurt following the impact. Speaking at the press conference following the show, Triple H stated that Reed was being checked out and more information would be provided when it was known.
Reed later confirmed that surgery would be required, leading to speculation as to how long Reed would be out for to recover.
Bronson Reed Sets The Record Straight
Taking to social media to provide an update to the fans, Reed stated that the injury was much worse than a fracture and confirmed that he would unfortunately miss WrestleMania as a result of the injury.
Let’s clear up some things.
Dirt sheets report ankle fracture or injury.
I unfortunately smashed my talus bone completely in half, I had it surgically repaired with screws and fragments taken out. Also had some bone marrow taken from my hip and put into my foot. Now this means I won’t be at Raw netflix Premiere, don’t expect a rumble surprise, and the biggest loss is no mania.
Please keep up with me on social media at this time. Understand I’ve had a serious injury, undergone serious surgery, and have serious implications from that.
It’s not merely a fracture!
Features of Wrestling would like to wish Bronson Reed a full and speedy recovery.
