The fallout from Bash in Berlin continued on WWE SmackDown.
With the Premium Live Event in Germany now in the books the September 6th show focused on the fallout from the event while also preparing for the September 13th episode, which will be the first to be broadcast on SmackDown’s new home of Fox.
Announced matches and segments ahead of time included the return of Giovanni Vinci, Bayley vs. Tiffany Stratton and Cody Rhodes answering Solo Sikoa’s challenge.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- A video package opened the show to recap the events that took place at Bash In Berlin
- Cody Rhodes came to the ring and praised Kevin Owens for a tough battle at Bash in Berlin. The Bloodline interrupted and Sikoa demanded a title shot, even though Rhodes thought that Jacob Fatu deserved it more. The Street Profits and DIY backed up Rodes before Nick Aldis interrupted and announced that a steel cage match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa would take place next week with the title on the line
- Bayley defeated Tiffany Stratton
- Giovanni Vinci made his return to face Apollo Crews and lost immediately
- Kevin Owens defeated Grayson Waller and Austin Theory in a triple threat match
- LA Knight discussed his successful US Championship run before being interrupted by Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. Knight took out both men
- Chelsea Green defeated Mia Yim
- The Bloodline defeated DIY and The Street Profits
