The final WWE SmackDown before Elimination Chamber.
With the next Premium Live Event taking place on March 1st in Toronto, SmackDown also aired live in the Canadian city to present the final builts to the show, which will see the two titular Chamber matches take place and the winners advance to WrestleMania.
Advertised ahead of time included a live appearance from Hall of Famer and Tornonto’s own Trish Stratus and Chelsea Green in action.
Joe Tessitorw and Wade Barrett were the commentary team for the show.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- After a video package aired recapping the segment between The Rock and Cody Rhodes from the previous week, Trish Stratus officially opened the show. After hyping up the crowd, Stratus introduced her partner for the match at Elimination Chamber WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. The segment was interrupted by Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, leading to a match between Green and Stratton.
- Chelsea Green vs. Tiffany Stratton ended in a no contest when Nia Jax and Candice LeRae interfered.
- Jacob Fatu defeated Andrade.
- The Street Profits made their entrance but a tag team brawl ensued featuring MCMG, Los Garzas and Pretty Deadly.
- The Men’s Elimination Chamber entrants exchanged words. This began with Drew McIntyre before Damian Priest interrupted followed by Seth Rollins and later CM Punk. John Cena’s music hit but in fact it was Logan Paul.
- LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar.
- Sami Zayn appeared live and invited Kevin Owens to meet him. Owens was at Rogers Centre and appeared on the big screen, vowing to end Zayn at Elimination Chamber.
- Carmelo Hayes defeated Braun Strowman.
- Roxanne Perez, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Naomi, Bayley and Bianca Belair.
- LA Knight defeated Jacob Fatu and Carmelo Hayes to become the new number one contender for the United States Championship.
- Cody Rhodes spoke with Michael Cole about his ELimination Chamber decision. The Rock interrupted via video and stated he knew that Rhodes would make the right decision. Rock also had a custom weight belt with the date of Dusty Rhodes’ death printed onto it.
