WWE SmackDown continued the build to Elimination Chamber and more.
Tonight before the show, Cody Rhodes made his WrestleMania decision, choosing Roman Reigns and making The Rock and Reigns irate. Triple H appeared live to address the fallout.
Also, more matches were confirmed for Elimination Chamber, including a Men’s Chamber match. Multiple participants were confirmed for each of the respective Chamber matches.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- Triple H opened the show with Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis in the ring. Triple H addressed the controversy from the press conference. Making multiple digs at The Rock and Roman Reigns, stating the answers come from one place and confirming that Reigns vs. Rhodes is still the match that will take place. Additionally, The Game stated that it doesn’t matter if some don’t like the decision.
- Nick Aldis stated that Seth Rollins’ WrestleMania challenger would be determined in an Elimination Chamber match. Adam Pearce revealed the 12 participants who would all compete in qualifying matches to determine the 6 occupants. The Superstars vying for the match are Randy Orton, Bronson Reed, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, AJ Styles, The Miz, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, Ivar, Sami Zayn, Dominik Mysterio and LA Knight.
- Drew McIntyre defeated AJ Styles to qualify for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match thanks to assistance from LA Knight
- Bianca Belair defeated Michin to qualify for the Women’s Chamber match
- Bayley addressed her split for Damage CTRL. Dakota Kai interrupted and was asked about the betrayal. The rest of Damage CTRL interrupted, with Kai grabbing a chair to help Bayley fend them off
- Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne defeated DIY to become the new number one contenders to the Tag Team Championships. The match will take place at Elimination Chamber
- Randy Orton defeated Sami Zayn to advance to the Men’s Elimination Chamber match
