Night one of the Draft took place on WWE SmackDown.
With WrestleMania 40 now in the books WWE is looking to reset once more as it looks to the future with the 2024 draft. Stars were chosen to be exclusive to Raw and SmackDown moving forward, with the rosters locked in on May 6th. Additionally, Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles signed the contract to make their match at Backlash official.
The show aired live from Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- Paul Heyman made the announcement that Roman Reigns had removed himself from the draft pool
- Corey Graves officiated the contract signing between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles. The two exchanged words but no physicality.
- Round one of the draft took place:
- SmackDown drafted Bianca Belair
- Raw drafted Jey Uso
- SmackDown drafted Carmela Hayes
- Raw drafted Seth Rollins
- Camrleo Hayes confronted Cody Rhodes and stated he wanted a shot.
- Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee defeated Angel and Berto
- Footage was shown of Carlito attacking Dragon Lee shortly before WrestleMania
- Bron Breaker defeated Cedric Alexander
- Round 2 of the draft took place:

- Raw drafted Liv Morgan
- Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga arrived, who were attacked by Kevin Owens
- Round 3 of the draft took place:

- Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi went to a no contest
- Round 4 of the draft took place:

- Cody Rhodes defeated Carmelo Hayes. A staredown between Rhodes and Styles closed out the show
