A title match and more took place on WWE SmackDown.
Airing live in front of a sell-out crowd in Sacramento, California, the show saw LA Knight put the United States Championship on the line against Andrade. Additionally, a major tornado tag team match took place between Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton & Bayley and Naomi.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- The show opened with The Bloodline arriving into the venue, who assaulted security
- LA Knight defeated Andrade to retain the United States Championship
- A video package aired that showed the meeting between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in Atlanta
- Apollo Crews defeated Giovanni Vinci
- Kevin Owens appeared live for a promo segment before being interrupted by The Bloodline. DIY backed up Owens and a six man tag match was booked for the main event
- Naomi and Bayley both pinned Nia Jax in a tag team match, meaning that a triple threat at Bad Blood for Jax’s championship is likely for Bad Blood
- The six man tag saw Owens team with The Street Profits after DIY were taken out by The Bloodline. The match ended in a no contest. Cody Rhodes came to the aid of Owens and co.
Also on September 20th, NXT hosted its latest live event in Sebring, Florida.
