WWE SmackDown saw a major contract signing take place, a first-time-ever match and more.
Roman Reigns is set to defend the Undisputed Championship at the Royal Rumble against LA Knight, AJ Styles and Randy Orton. All 4 Superstars were at the show to sign the contract to make the match official.
Additionally, Randy Orton faced Solo Sikoa in a first-time-ever match. With The Bloodline responsible for sidelining Orton for 18 months, The Viper was looking for some much-needed retribution.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE SmackDown:
- Roman Reigns appeared in the opening segment and was angry that the situation regarding the Royal Rumble had still not been fixed.
- AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton all signed the contract to make the Royal Rumble match official. Nick Aldis introduced Roman Reigns but instead, Paul Heyman would come out to the arena. Heyman stated that Reigns would not be signing the contract, to which Aldis threatened to strip Reigns of the title. Knight and Styles came to blows, setting up a match for later in the night.
- Santos Escobar, Angel and Humberto defeated Carlito, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde
- Bucth has finally been renamed as Pete Dunne. The Bruiserweight and Tyler Bate defeated Pretty Deadly
- Logan Paul made an appearance on The Kevin Owens Show. Paul stood tall after targeting the injured hand of Owens
- Kayden Carter and Katana Chance defeated Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
- AJ Styles vs. LA Knight ended in a no contest due to Bloodline interference
- Randy Orton defeated Solo Sikoa. After the match, Orton dropped Reigns with an RKO
