A huge title match and more are set for the October 23 WWE SmackDown as the build to Crown Jewel continues.
On the October 12 Raw, Roxanne Perez defeated WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green in a non-title match. As Perez picked up a win over the champion, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Perez would receive an opportunity at Green and the title on SmackDown. If Perez wins the championship, she will go on to face Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel for the Crown Jewel Championship.
After Tatum Paxley and Alexa Bliss won the Women’s Tag Team Championships from Fatal Influence, B-Fab and Michin wasted no time in looking for a title shot. It was later confirmed that Michin and B-Fab would get their opportunity next week. B-Fab and Michin attacked Charlotte Flair two weeks ago, meaning that Flair was not cleared to compete in the title match. Paxley took Flair’s place, leading to the title change.
Also announced, Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki will face the MFTs, the Tag Team Champions, in a non-title match.
