Sami Zayn will celebrate his victory and more on the July 3 edition of WWE SmackDown.
Night of Champions ended in shocking fashion as Sami Zayn pinned Cody Rhodes to win the WWE Championship for the first time in his career. Zayn also became a grand slam champion following the win. Zayn is set to appear live for the first time since winning the title to celebrate the victory and to address what’s next. Also at the show, US Champion Trick Williams defended his title against Ricky Saints. Williams will also appear live on the show to celebrate his victory.
On the last episode of Raw, multiple matches were confirmed for SummerSlam, including Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi 3 and Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins. Expect the build to SummerSlam to continue on the show.
It should be noted that the show has been pre-taped ahead of time to allow the roster and crew to have time off for the July 4 weekend. As such, the show has been pre-taped ahead of time, meaning that spoilers are now available. The taping took place directly after the June 29 Raw went off the air.
