WWE SmackDown Preview January 30

WWE SmackDown Preview January 30

Live from Saudi Arabia, the January 30 episode of WWE SmackDown will continue the hype to the Royal Rumble, which will officially kick off the road to WrestleMania later in the year.

The heavy focus on the show will be what happened at Saturday Night’s Main Event, along with the Royal Rumble set to take place just over 24 hours later. At the first Saturday Night’s Main Event of the year, Sami Zayn won a 4-way match to earn the right to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. It is expected that both Zayn and McIntyre will be live on the show. Additionally, what’s next for Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu is also expected to be addressed, as both men failed to have their match at the special as it quickly descended into chaos.

A title match has been added to the show, as Carmelo Hayes will put his US Championship on the line against an opponent to be determined.

Due to the show taking place in Saudi Arabia, SmackDown is set to air at 8 pm local time on international feeds, which will be 5 pm in the United Kingdom. However, much like other international tapings that have taken place since early 2025, fans in the United States will have to wait until the regular 8 pm time before tuning in.

Line-Up For WWE SmackDown January 30:

  • The fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event
  • The final show before Royal Rumble
  • Drew McIntyre will appear live
  • Carmelo Hayes to defend the United States Championship in an open challenge
