WWE Royal Rumble 2024 Predictions

WWE Royal Rumble

The WWE Royal Rumble is set to take place once again on Saturday, January 27th.

In what will be the 37th iteration of the event, the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches will begin the build to WrestleMania as the winner of each match will receive a guaranteed championship opportunity at WrestleMania 40. The event will take place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, the site of the Thunder Dome in the pandemic era.

Logan Paul (c) vs. Kevin Owens – Singles Match For The United States Championship

While having another part-time champion on SmackDown is less than ideal, Logan Paul is not losing the championship here. Paul only just won the title back at Crown Jewel and needs a couple of wins before ultimately dropping the championship, likely at WrestleMania. While Paul will retain, it won’t be a clean victory over Owens.

Winner: Logan Paul

Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton vs. LA Knight – Fatal 4-Way Match For The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

Credit must be given to WWE for providing a more exciting title match for Reigns at the Royal Rumble. Not since WrestleMania has it felt like there might be a chance that Reigns could be dethroned and the lengthy title reign could come to an end. Having said that, once again the result will be the same with Reigns walking into WrestleMania as champion. Expect heavy Bloodline interference throughout as the match is no disqualification.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Women’s Royal Rumble Match

Both Royal Rumbles feel a lot different than in years past. Not only have very few entrants been announced for the match but there is also no clear winner for the iconic battle royal. Becky Lynch and Bayley feel like the two favourites for the match, with each likely to challenge the champion of their respective brand. With no one yet to win the match twice, this could be another history-making moment for Lynch.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Men’s Royal Rumble Match

At one point this seemed to be rather predictable. With CM Punk originally not advertised for the Elimination Chamber PLE in Australia, it looked to be a Punk win at the Rumble and Cody Rhodes earned his opportunity at the next event. However, with both men now advertised for both this has become a lot harder to call. That being said, Rhodes may just become the first person in over 20 years to win back-to-back Rumble matches, as WWE also keep referencing this fact on commentary.

Winner: Cody Rhodes
