WWE Retires NXT Heritage Cup

The WWE NXT Heritage Cup Championship is no longer listed as an active title on the company’s website.

Fans noticed that the trophy/championship had been quietly removed from the roster page over the past few days. The Heritage Cup was last held by Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, but has not been featured or defended on NXT programming.

The Cup was last seen on TV back in July 2025 when Tony D’Angelo threw it off a bridge. Stacks won the Cup the month prior while feuding with Tony D’Aneglo as part of the ongoing feud between members of the family.

The WWE NXT Heritage Cup Retired After 6 Years

The Cup was first introduced to fans in September 2020 as a secondary title in WWE NXT UK, giving the stars of the brand another championship to fight over. The Cup was defended under British Round rules, which are as follows:

  • Matches consist of six three-minute rounds with 20-second breaks between each round.
  • Matches are 2-out-of-3 falls.
  • Falls can be won by pinfall, submission, or knockout (countout).
  • Once a fall occurs, the round ends.
  • The match ends once a wrestler has won two falls.
  • In the event of a disqualification or knockout, the match instantly ends without the need for two falls.
  • If all six rounds are completed, whoever is ahead on falls wins the match. If tied, the champion retains

A-Kid [now known as Axiom] was the inaugural champion. The cup remained on WWE NXT UK until the brand ended in September 2022. The Cup then remained off TV until being revived by Noam Dar in NXT in April 2023.

There were 13 reigns with the Championship overall. Noam Dar has the most reigns with four. The other champions were Tyler Bate, Mark Coffey, Nathan Frazer, Charlie Dempsey, and Lexis King.
