The final WWE Raw before Bad Blood.
With the upcoming Premium Live Event taking place on October 5th, the show hyped up the Raw matches scheduled to take place at Bad Blood. Additionally, Bronson Reed and Braun Strowman finally had their match to see who was the better big man. With previous attempts ending in a no contest, Reed and Strowman were booked in a Last Monster Standing match.
On the September 23rd episode of Raw, Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Celebrating the victory, Uso appeared live.
The show aired live from Evansville, Indiana with Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett on commentary.
The Following Results Took Place On WWE Raw:
- Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett appeared live in the ring and introduced a video package recapping Jey Uso’s Intercontinental Championship victory
- Uso made his way through the crowd to officially kick off the show. Bron Breakker interrupted, showed Uso respect and shook his hand
- Xavier Woods defeated Rey Mysterio after accidentally removing Mysterio’s mask
- Zoey Stark defeated Lyra Valkyria
- Kofi Kingston met Xavier Woods backstage and revealed that he had secured him a shot at the Intercontinental Championship next week
- The cell lowered as Drew McIntyre and CM Punk appeared live. Both men vowed to end the other inside the structure at Bad Blood
- The Judgment Day defeated LWO
- The Terror Twins interrupted the celebration but were beaten down by The Judgment Day
- Chad Gable defeated Kofi Kingston
- Sami Zayn once again demanded a World Heavyweight Championship match from Gunther, which was refused. Zayn made things personal by bringing up Gunther’s father and was beaten down by The Ring General as a result
- AOP defeated Awesome Truth when Miz walked out on R-Truth
- Braun Strowman defeated Bronson Reed. The match saw the ring destroyed and Seth Rollins returned to get revenge on Reed
