A title match and more took place on the June 30 WWE Raw, which was also the first show since Night of Champions.
Now that Night of Champions is in the books, the build now begins to the next Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution on July 12 and 13, respectively. Ahead of the all-women’s Premium Live Event, Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis have an announcement for the show. Additionally, the Tag Team Championships were on the line as The New Day put their titles on the line against Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves were the commentary team for the show.
WWE Raw Results June 30:
- Following a recap of Night of Champions, Rhea Ripley officially kicked off the show. Ripley was quickly interrupted by Women’s World Champion IYO SKY, who informed Ripley that she had been given the opportunity to choose her challenger for Evolution on July 13. SKY then told Ripley that she would get the title match at the all-women’s show.
- Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeated The New Day to become the new World Tag Team Champions.
- Rusev defeated Sheamus.
- Roxanne Perez was recognised as the new Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Raquel Rodriguez. It was also announced that a 4-way match for the titles would take place at Evolution.
- El Grande Americano appeared backstage and looked suspiciously like Ludwig Kaiser. It should be noted that Chad Gable is currently sidelined with injury.
- Gunther addressed the upcoming match against Goldberg at Saturday Night’s Main Event and asked whose next, prompting Seth Rollins to make his entrance. Rollins stated that he travelled to Saudi to cost CM Punk and not to try and win the WWE Championship. Punk early got revenge on Rollins but Rollins fled. LA Knight attacked Rollins and Punk shoved Gunther.
- Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria ended in a draw, likely setting up a 3-way match for Becky Lynch’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Evolution.
- Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed defeated Sami Zayn and Penta. The heels attempted to beat down Zayn and Penta further, but Jey Uso made the save.
