The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments began and more on WWE Raw.

Following on from WWE Backlash taking place in Lyon, France on May 4th, the company now look ahead to their next international trip on May 25th as the King and Queen of the Ring tournament finals will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Multiple first round matches took place on the show and the fallout from Backlash.

The Following Results Took Place On WWE Raw:

  • Damian Priest opened the show with Finn Balor and JD McDonagh. Priest apologised for his actions at Backlash and looked to put the animosity past them. Balor believed that he would not be competing in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament as Drew McIntyre is injured. Instead, Jey Uso was added to the tournament and defeated Balor in the opening round.
  • Drew McIntyre stormed out of the arena after being removed from the tournament. Shortly afterwards, CM Punk made his way to the ring and cut a promo on McIntyre
  • Iyo Sky defeated Natalya in the opening round of the Queen of the Ring tournament
  • Ilja Dragunov defeated Ricochet in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament
  • Zoey Stark defeated Ivy Nile in the opening round of the Queen of the Ring tournament
  • Bronson Reed vs. Chad Gable ended in a no contest when Sami Zayn attacked Gable. It was later announced that a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship would take place at the King & Queen of the Ring PLE.
  • Becky Lynch appeared in the ring for an interview with Michael Cole. Lynch was interrupted by Morgan and it was announced that Lynch would defend the Women’s World Championship against Morgan at King & Queen of the Ring
  • Lyra Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai in the opening round of the Queen of the Ring tournament
  • Gunther defeated Sheamus in the opening round of the King of the Ring tournament
