Two former World Champions are set to collide and more on the January 12 episode of WWE Raw, which will air live from Düsseldorf in Germany.
Gunther has continued to gloat about retiring John Cena ever since he tapped out the 17-time World Champion at the end of 2025. After being interrupted and slapped by AJ Styles, it was announced that the former World Champions would go one on one on Raw.
After winning the Women’s Tag Team Championships the previous week, IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley will be appearing live to celebrate their victory and to officially kick off the show. World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is also set to make an appearance as the Royal Rumble approaches at the end of the month.
On the previous episode of SmackDown, Drew McIntyre shockingly defeated Cody Rhodes to win the WWE Championship thanks to an accidental assist from a returning Jacob Fatu. While nothing has been announced regarding this, it is expected that the title change will be addressed on the show.
As the show will emanate from Germany, Raw will have a special start time of 7 pm in the UK, which equates to 2 pm on the United States East Coast.
