WWE has released an official statement regarding Ricochet.
On the June 10th episode of WWE Raw, the former United States Champion was the victim of a brutal attack when he was thrown through the windscreen of a car by Bron Breakker. Taken away in an ambulance, the attack was used to write Ricochet off of TV as he has elected to not sign a new contract with WWE and will be leaving the company in the near future.
On June 12th, WWE issued an update via social media where they stated that the former Intercontinental Champion would be out of action due to upper body injuries and his return was uncertain, tying up any loose ends regarding his involvement on WWE TV:

Who Will Ricochet Sign With?
The soon-to-be former WWE star is set to become one of the hottest free agents in 2024 and is expected to have a lot of interest from top promotions around the world. While AEW appears to be the firm favourite to sign the high-flyer, TNA star Leon Slater recently spoke with Tom Campbell of Cultaholic and made the case for Ricochet to join TNA and be a part of the fast-paced X-Division:
Again, I think that would be extremely cool (if Ricochet landed in TNA Wrestling). As I think a lot of people from my kind of generation, we kind of grew up on Ricochet. Him and (Will) Ospreay really introduced this new style that we all kind of mold ourselves into so to get to work with him would be incredible for sure, and I think more than anything, I think it’d be a real kick up the ass for us all in the X Division to really up our game because Ricochet… he’s one of the greatest high-fliers of all-time and one of the greatest to ever do this style that we do. So especially for me, I think it’d be a great challenge and I think he’d be someone that I’d really wanna step up to and up my game to face.
