WWE will present Payback on Saturday September 2nd. The show will be live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez – Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
Dominating the division since wining the title at Mania, Rhea Ripley faces her toughest test yet as champion. Rodriguez will definitely take the fight to Ripley and get some good near-falls. But Ripley will escape with the title.
Winner – Rhea Ripley
LA Knight vs. The Miz
This is the obligatory top star feuds with The Miz on their way up the card for LA Knight. Miz will use some underhanded tactics to briefly gain the upper hand, but this is a win for Knight to hype up the crowd.
Winner – LA Knight
Rey Mysterio vs. Austin Theory – Singles match for the United States Championship
Mysterio has only just won the United States Championship and looks set for a few defences before dropping the title. Also, if anyone will take the title off of Mysterio it will be Santos Escobar, with the LWO member looking set to eventually receive his rightful opportunity.
Winner – Rey Mysterio
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus – Steel Cage Match
The rivalry looks to finally conclude at Payback between the two former Women’s Champions. Even though the cage is designed to keep Zoey Stark out, the protégé will definitely get involved in the match. Despite this, Lynch will overcome the odds and be victorious.
Winner – Becky Lynch
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens (c) vs. Damian Priest and Finn Balor – Steel City Street Fight for the Undisputed Tag Team Championship
This is where The Judgement Day will likely implode. The no disqualification aspect will mean that Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley will get involved, but so will JD McDonagh, with Cody Rhodes also helping put the champions. All the in-fighting will prove costly, allowing Zayn and Owens to capitalise.
Winners – Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura – Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship
The storyline is that Rollins is beaten up from constantly competing. Nakamura will target the back and have a physical match with Rollins, but The Visionary will just survive and retain the championship. There is a possibility that Priest at least teases a cash-in, but Rollins will walk out with the title.
Winner: Seth Rollins
