The contenders to crown the next holder of the WWE NXT Championship in a ladder match have now been determined and will fight it out next week for the title.
On the January 27 show, EVOLVE Champion Jackson Drake was able to win his qualifying match after being named as a last-minute entrant following Joe Hendry being attacked by Drake and Vanity Project earlier in the show. However, General Manager Ava stated that if Hendry could be cleared to compete by February 3, then he would also be a part of the match. At the end of the show, Hendry joined the brawl that featured the other participants in the ladder match.
Hendry joins Ricky Saints, Shiloh Hill, Sean Legacy, Jackson Drake, Dion Lennox, Keanu Carver as those who will be battling it out to crown the next champion. The title was vacated earlier in the year when Oba Femi left the championship in the ring following his successful defence over TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. Femi has since been moved to the main roster, and is set to take part in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
