With the top championships from 2 companies at stake, WWE NXT Battleground saw the latest in the ongoing crossover with TNA.
Taking place the night after Saturday Night’s Main Event, Battleground saw Oba Femi defend the NXT Championship against Myles Borne and TNA World Champion Joe Hendry put the title on the line against Trick Williams. Additionally, Jordynne Grace challenged for the NXT Women’s Championship one year on from her last title match, where The Juggernaut was a contracted TNA star at that point.
After winning the vacant Women’s North American Championship at Stand & Deliver, Sol Ruca put the title on the line against the inaugural champion, Kelani Jordan. Additionally, Tony D’Angelo looked to get revenge on Stacks after the family imploded at Stand & Deliver.
Vic Joseph, Booker T and Corey Graves were on commentary for the show.

- Hank and Tank, and Josh Briggs defeated Brooks Jenson, Niko Vance and Shawn Spears
- Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo defeated Tony D’Angelo
- Stephanie Vaquer defeated Jordynne Grace to retain the NXT Women’s Championship
- Oba Femi defeated Myles Borne to retain the NXT Championship
