The second WWE Evolution Premium Live Event is set to be announced imminently, much to the delight of fans.
According to a follow-up report, the second iteration of the show should be announced before WrestleMania 40 and is also scheduled for the summer. After first being reported by Cory Hays of PWNexus, WrestleVotes posted the following on social media regarding the upcoming announcement:
After speaking with sources, we can confirm WWE is set to bring back the highly anticipated “Evolution” PLE this summer. The return of the all-women’s event is expected to be officially announced before WrestleMania.
The initial report from Hays noted that the pencilled-in date and location would be July 5th at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
Unsurprisingly, the news has been very well-received by fans, who have been calling for a follow-up ever since the concept debuted back in 2018. Evolution was an all-female show showcasing the stars of the women’s division from the past, present and future. With limited opportunities to get on PLE cards and with the influx of talent on main roster, NXT and TNA, fans have been hoping for years that the sequel would finally happen.
WWE Evolution Card
While it is unknown which matches will take place on the show at the time of writing, it is expected that the top championships will be at stake along with appearances from NXT, TNA and legends. Earlier in the month, Features of Wrestling fantasy booked a possible Evolution card.
