WWE Confirms Matches For Hell In A Cell

Two matches have been confirmed for the Hell in a Cell event on June 20th. Rhea Ripley will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. The match will be the first time that Ripley and Flair have faced off in singles action since WrestleMania 36. In that match, Charlotte defeated Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Also announced for the event was a match for the WWE Championship. Bobby Lashley will defend his tile at Hell in a Cell against either Drew McIntyre or Kofi Kingston. The number one contender was supposed to be decided on the May 24th episode of RAW, with Kingston and McIntyre battling for the next shot at Lashley. However, the champion and MVP attacked both competitors, resulting in a no contest.

As a result of this WWE Official Adam Pearce announced the rematch for next week. Pearce also announced that if Lashley or MVP interfere in any way, they will be suspended without pay.

Hell in A Cell will take place on Sunday June 20th. The event also could be the last WWE pay per view to take place inside the ThunderDome. This is because WWE have announced a series of live events for July, including the Money in the Bank pay per view.
