After weeks of uncertainty, WWE has now announced when and where WrestleMania 42 will take place next year.
During Money in the Bank, it was confirmed that the biggest show of the year would be returning to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2026 and would take place on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. The announcement marks the second consecutive year that the Show of Shows will emanate from the gambling capital of the world.
The official update comes a few weeks after the unprecedented news that WrestleMania would not take place in New Orleans despite being officially announced by The Rock earlier in the year. Shortly after news broke, Triple H confirmed that New Orleans would receive Money in the Bank in 2026 and that an update on WrestleMania would be provided soon.
Why Did WrestleMania 42 Move Locations
With WrestleMania being moved after the location was seemingly confirmed, many were shocked by the news, especially those who had already made plans to travel to New Orleans in 2026. While not confirmed, it has been reported that one reason that factored into the change was that WWE made so much money with WrestleMania 41 that they would not be able to match or surpass that figure in New Orleans.
It has also been speculated that Las Vegas is looking to secure a deal where WrestleMania will come to the city more regualrly as they want at least one major sporting event to emanate from Nevada each year.
