The Miz has provided more information on where things stand between himself and WWE following rumours that he might be finishing up with the company.
Shortly after R-Truth, Carlito and Sarah Logan all announced they would be leaving WWE soon, fans noticed that The A-Lister removed all references to the company on his social media account. With WWE recently cutting 2 veterans of the industry and Miz having been a part of the company for 20 years, many assumed that Miz had also been cut from the company despite the fact that neither he nor any reputable news outlets reported that to be the case. Aware of the rumours surrounding his status, Miz has since gone on to set the record straight.
Speaking on his Instagram page to promote his upcoming role as the host of American Gladiators, the 2-time World Champion also spoke about the rumours. Stating that all the news they have read about him is false, Miz added that he and WWE are on very good terms:
“Since I’m talking on here, I feel like I need to address some things, because I keep getting texts from friends asking me, ‘Is the news on social media real?’ My thing is everyone get off of social media and don’t listen to any of it because it’s all false. Everything I’ve seen about me is false. I didn’t want to address this. I thought it would just go away. I didn’t want to draw attention to it because if I said something, then it might draw more attention, and I just didn’t want that. But it just keeps going. I will say it like it is. As far as X, Instagram, and TikTok, and my profiles, I’ve never changed any of them recently. The last time I changed my Twitter profile was probably five years ago. It still says Twitter on it, it doesn’t say X. So I haven’t changed that in five years. I haven’t unfollowed WWE at all. WWE and I are in very good standings. We just dropped Miz Golf, which is part of WWE’s YouTube. As far as WWE’s concern, tonight is the most important pay-per-view of the year in my opinion, because it’s Money in the Bank.”
When Did The Miz Last Wrestle?
Focusing on his golf channel in recent weeks, the former World Champion has been featured less on WWE TV, which was also part of the rumours concerning his status. Miz last competed on the May 2nd episode of SmackDown against a returning Aleister Black.
