Stars from WWE and AEW have sent their congratulations to John Cena on the Raw marking 20 years since Cena’s debut.
Tributes to the 16 time World Champion were shown throughout the June 27th edition of the WWE flagship show. The first segment would see AEW stars Daniel Bryan and The Big Show along with Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Booker T and Trish Stratus.

Later in the show, former AEW Champion Chris Jericho would join Randy Orton, Stephanie McMahon and Hall of Famers Kurt Angle, JBL and Stone Cold Steve Austin to send their congratulations.
In regards to how the AEW stars were approached to record congratulatory messages to Cena, Fightful Select has been able to provide more information. In the report it is stated that AEW president Tony Khan was approached and given the circumstances, Khan was happy to approve this. A source within WWE has also told Fightful that pretty much everyone from AEW that WWE wanted to record a video participated.
In 2024, Cena announced that next year would be his final year as an in-ring competitor and he will compete one more time in December.
