The line-up has grown for AEW Double or Nothing.
On the May 1st episode of Dynamite, World Champion Swerve Strickland found out who his next title defence would be against. After Strickland defended the title against Claudio Catagnoli on the April 27th Collision, Strickland appeared in the opening segment and wasted no time in asking who his challenger would be. The champion was interrupted by The Young Bucks, who stated that a former champion from Canada would be his opponent. At this point, the music of Christian Cage hit.
Cage and the rest of The Patriarchy made their way to the ring to confront Strickland and Prince Nana. Cage said nothing at first and went right on the attack. Although Strickland briefly fought back, Cage and the rest of the group laid out the World Champion and Nana. Killswitch pulled out a lock of Strickland’s hair as Cage brought up their loss from All In and that he would make Strickland nothing more than a footnote in the history of AEW.
