WWE NXT star Blake Monroe has explained why she is not desperate for a main roster call-up at this time.
Monroe has now been with the company just over 6 months following her surprise arrival on the developmental brand back in June 2025. During her brief time on the developmental brand, the British wrestler has captured the Women’s North American Championship and is one of the top stars in the women’s division.
A notable name in women’s wrestling due to her previous work in STARDOM and AEW, fans believe that is only a matter of time before Monroe joins the Raw or SmackDown roster. However, according to the NXT star, she is not in a rush to leave the Tuesday night show.

Speaking with Sam Roberts, Monroe noted that while some people get fixated on being moved to the main roster, she still has a lot to do on NXT. Monroe also pointed out that she has not had a lot of feuds with the roster during her short time on the show:
“I think people can get really fixated on that [a main roster call-up] but NXT, it’s strange because it’s attached to the Performance Center. In some sense there is developmental but there are huge stars on it. I don’t know why there’s some kind of ‘I need to be called up.’ I’m not in any rush. As I said, I still have so much to do. I’ve hardly feuded with any of the women. I mean, Jordynne Grace wasted a lot of my time and now Jaida Parker is chasing me around but there’s so many women I want to wrestle and I haven’t even approached the main women’s title.”
Prior to signing with WWE, the former Meriah May had a standout feud with Toni Storm in AEW, which was loosely based on the Hollywood movie All About Eve. The duo had a trio of matches that culminated in the Hollywood Ending at Revolution 2025. The violent match received critical acclaim and would be May’s final match in the promotion.
