Randy Orton was in action at WrestleMania 41 against a returning WWE star in what was his 20th appearance at the show.
Competing in night 2 of the show in what was an open challenge, Orton faced off against Joe Hendry, who made their return to WWE at The Show of Shows. Although Orton was unaware of who his opponent would be, The Apex Predator still picked up the victory with an RKO to the delight of the Las Vegas crowd.
Orton was originally set to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41 following the events that took place at WrestleMania. However, as Kevin Owens announced that he would miss WrestleMania as he required neck surgery, the match was cancelled with Orton in need of a replacement.
Randy Orton Gets His WrestleMania Match
Having headlined the event multiple times and it being unknown how many more times he will compete at the show, fans were happy to see the 14-time World Champion once again in action at the biggest show of the year. In the lead-up to the show, Orton attacked SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and demanded that he get his match at Mania. While it was teased that Aldis would be the opponent, the General Manager instead found a suitable replacement.
