Controversial WWE superstar Lars Sullivan has not been seen on TV for a number of months. His last appearance was a sit down segment on the November 6th episode of Smackdown. The reason why he has not been seen since has been unclear. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful recently answered this question during the Q and A section of the Monday Night Live Podcast on Inside The Ropes. Speaking to Kenny McIntosh, Sean said the following.
“I did ask. I wasn’t told that there was an injury. I was told we knew he wouldn’t be back on TV after the shirtless promo. Some thought that doing that was sabotage. The guy has done enough self sabotage in the past to prevent him from being on TV. Someone backstage felt bad because Lars was able to come back from what would have been a career ending injury for some people. He was then given a lot of false promises and was given situations where he could not thrive. Someone else said that Vince Mcmahon will never look at him the same because of the things that have emerged. One of the things that was put forward was the sabotage, they knew what they were doing when they made him do that shirtless promo. This is not confirmed this is just from one guy talking to me.”
Speculation is that Lars Sullivan’s troubled past has finally done enough damage that he can’t recover from. Expect the contract to expire and Lars to be quietly released in the future. Alternatively, he may be a surprise return to The Royal Rumble…
