Tony Khan has announced a big show for March 2024.
As was seen on the February 7th episode of Dynamite, Khan made his hotly anticipated announcement to fans. On Wednesday, March 13th, AEW will take over the TD Garden in Boston to present a special episode of Dynamite titled Big Business.
With multiple sources previously suggesting that Mercedes Mone would be signing with AEW in the near future, it is all but confirmed that Mone will be making her debut at the Boston show. With Khan calling the show one of the biggest nights in history, the build feels similar to the August 20th 2021 episode of Rampage, which was where CM Punk made his AEW debut in Chicago.
Earlier in the day, many noted that Ticketmaster and multiple outlets had a Dynamite taping in Boston listed for March 13th. Once word had spread about the event, Ticketmaster pulled the advertising.
Tony Khan All But Confirms Mercedes Mone Is All Elite
In a follow-up report by Fihgtful Select, it is noted that Mone has been on the company payroll since early January. It is also stated that the dates for the announcement and the Boston show have been set for weeks.
In regards to the possibility of debuting Mone at one of the biggest shows in the AEW calendar, Grand Slam, Fightful states that Mone was nowhere near ready to return at that point. With Mone having a history in New Japan and AEW having a great relationship with the promotion, further NJPW appearances by Mone are expected.
