A new era began for TNA Wrestling on January 15 as the first episode of Impact aired on the AMC network.
As was expected, the debut show was a newsworthy one with references to the past, present and future all seen throughout.
Along with the return of TNA original AJ Styles, fans saw surprise debuts and title changes, including a new World Champion being crowned in the main event.
With this also being the go home show for Genesis, TNA is looking to kick off 2026 strong.
TNA On AMC Premiere: The Big News
- AJ Styles kicked off the show. Styles hyped up the crowd but kept his segment short as he didn’t want to delay the in-ring action.
- Director of Authority Santino Marella introduced the former Sonya Deville as TNA’s newest authority figure. Now known as Daria Rae, the former WWE star berated the crowd and then introduced Elayna Black (FKA Cora Jade) as TNA’s newest signing.
- The Elegance Brand retained their Knockouts Tag Team Championships over The IInspiration, who are now set to leave the company.
- Former TNA President Dixie Carter made a live appearance.
- Mike Santana defeated Frankie Kazarian to win the World Championship for a second time. Santana and Kazarian will face off in a Texas Deathmatch at Genesis, and Daria Rae named Nic Nemeth the guest referee.
