Last night at Elimination Chamber, The Miz became the new WWE Champion (more information on this story here). With his current feud being with rap star Bad Bunny, some fans are worried about the state of the WWE Championship going into Wrestlemania.
Wrestlevotes, one of the most reliable backstage news accounts, tweeted the following:
“It’s that time of year- LOTS of misinformation b/w sources, which happens around WM. However, from source:
WWE Title match- The Miz is not scheduled to be involved.
As of now, Bobby Lashley IS.”
With WWE Fastlane being the last event before Wrestlemania and the first event to be featured on the new Peacock platform, it is likely that is where the title change will take place.
