A WWE Raw star has been notably away from TV over the past few weeks, and the reason for the absence has been revealed.
Former Tag Team Champion Otis has now been away from TV for close to 2 months. Last seen losing to Rusev on the May 5th edition of Raw, The Alpha Academy member has not been seen with the rest of the group and there has been no storyline explanation as to why Otis has not been seen.
Providing an update on Sportskeeda’s Q and A podcast, WrestleVotes stated that Otis is “out of action”, but was unable to clarify if it was due to personal or injury reasons, nor did they want to speculate:
“I believe he’s out of action. Don’t know if it’s an injury or personal reasons, however we speak about this roster that shows up…Otis is currently not on the roster, which means they’re not available right now. For whatever reason, personal, injury, I don’t know, I don’t want to speculate. However, they’re not available for weekly TV at the moment,”
There has also been no indication as to how long the former Tag Team Champion will remain away from TV.
WWE Raw Star Otis Off TV Until Further Notice
Prior to the loss to Rusev, who made his return shortly after WrestleMania 41, Otis regularly teamed with Akira Tozawa in the tag team division. The duo had multiple matches on the TV show Main Event against the likes of The War Raiders, The Creed Brothers and A-Town Down Under. Otis also faced current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther ahead of The Ring General’s match against Jey Uso at WrestleMania, which saw Uso defeat Gunther and win the World Title for the first time in his career.
