Triple H has teased major celebrity involvement for WWE’s biggest show of the year.
Celebrities in wrestling has been a time-honoured tradition that stretches all the way back to the first WrestleMania with the likes of Muhammad Ali and Mr. T being involved in the historic show. With WWE increasing exponentially in popularity and with more and more big names spotted in the crowds, expect to see some fun cameos in Las Vegas next year.
Appearing as a guest on the Roommates Show with NBA star Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, the Chief Content Officer spoke about the success of WWE right now and how it is even bigger than The Attitude Era, widely regarded as the biggest period in company history in terms of popularity and ratings:
“We’re in sort of like this resurgence of WWE, and I was a big part of the Attitude Era, but this is bigger than the Attitude Era was,” Triple H said. “It’s amazing the amount of people on a weekly basis that we get to do cool stuff with.”
In terms of potential celebrity involvement, Triple H also noted that ahead of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas he is not short on options for famous faces who are hoping to be a part of the show:
“I’ve got a celebrity list a mile long for people who want to do something for WrestleMania in April in Vegas at Allegiant Stadium, and we just don’t have the real estate to do it with them. So we’ll pick the biggest ones and the ones that make sense storyline-wise for us and we’ll do it with them. But it’s incredible the amount of people that just want to be involved.”
WrestleMania 40 saw Snoop Dogg serve as a guest commentator and Jason Kelce factoring into the match between The LWO and The Judgment Day.
