Triple H has provided more information on Seth Rollins following the developments that took place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
During the Evolution press conference, Triple H issued a statement on Rollins, noting that he is scheduled for an MRI, but the prognosis does not look good for the Money in the Bank holder:
“A little bit inconclusive. Doesn’t look good. He will be at Birmingham tomorrow. He came here tonight, he was not going to miss his wife’s performance tonight…we’ll get an MRI and hope for the best, see where we can go with that.”
Rollins competed against LA Knight at the special on July 12. The closing moments of the match saw Rollins hit a springboard moonsault but immediately favour his leg. The match was briefly paused as medical staff checked on the former World Champion. Shortly afterwards, Knight hit his BFT finisher to win the match. It has since been reported that Rollins was originally set to win the match, but an audible was called due to the injury scare. Rollins has had a history of knee injuries over the course of his career, most notably in 2015 when he was forced to vacate the WWE Championship after suffering a torn ACL during a live event.
Triple H Addressed Seth Rollins Concerns And Future Of WWE Evolution
At the end of the press conference, the Chief Content Officer was asked about the long-term future of Evolution and if could potentially be an annual fixture on the calendar, to which Triple H stated it is a we’ll see right now:
“I don’t want to say it’s yearly, it’s not yearly. I think we see what that demand is for it,” he said. “Because as the demand for the women grows across the board every day, it becomes less about having their own show and more about…the equality, it’s all there. They don’t have to have their show to be in the spotlight. But if it works, we’ll definitely go down that road again. It’s a ‘we shall see.’
“I don’t know if it has to be a particular night for them to be inspired by the women, because I think the women do that every single Monday, Tuesday, Friday, whenever we have a PLE, wherever we’re having a Saturday Night’s Main Event. They’re role models, they’re inspiring people, they’re changing their lives. That sounds dramatic to some degree, but that is the kind of thing they do.”
