Triple H Comments On Long-Term Plans For WWE's Partnership With Netflix

Triple H believes that WWE’s partnership with Netflix will expand even further.

In January 2024, WWE announced a monumental deal with Netflix that will see Monday Night Raw broadcast on the streaming platform worldwide beginning January 2025.  While major markets such as the UK and Canada will gain access to SmackDown, NXT and Premium Live Events as part of the deal, meaning that the WWE Network will shut down, the USA will only be able to access Raw on Netflix initially. The reason for this is that Peacock currently has the exclusivity rights for Premium Live Events until March 2026, with SmackDown and NXT moving to the USA Network and the CW Network respectively later in the year.

While appearing on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Triple H was asked if he could see a day when Netflix has the rights to every WWE show for every market around the world. The Game responded that it seems very likely:

“I think, at the end of the day, it would seem odd to me for them to say, ‘We want Raw, that’s it. We’re good.’ That doesn’t seem to be how they do business. I think at some point down the road, when SmackDown comes up, is that something of interest to them? Down the road, when the PLEs come up on Peacock, that’s probably something of interest to them. It makes for interesting times and a really promising future,”

Netflix’s agreement with WWE is set for 10 years but with an option to cancel the agreement after 5 years or extend it to 20 years.

Triple H Calls Out Those Who Want An Easy Schedule

Making multiple appearances to promote WrestleMania, the 14-time World Champion has proudly flown the WWE flag as he prepares to put on his first Mania that he has complete control of. Praising the current roster on The Pat McAfee Show, Paul Levesque also seemingly took shots at those who have rejected WWE in favour of another promotion that has a lighter schedule. Stating that not everyone can compete at the highest level, Triple H said the following:

“Because they succeed someplace else doesn’t mean they’ll succeed at the big time. How many players go from college football at a high level and fail in the NFL? It’s massive. It’s a different game, a different world. If they are not here to be all in on this…when I see people coming out of trying to make it, and then they pick a job where, well, they work less, the schedule is lighter, then I’m like, ‘I’m glad I didn’t get you.’ If you’re not in it for the grind, at that point early in your career, you have no business being here,”
