Triple H has provided an update on an angle at WWE Bad Blood that got fans talking online.
On October 5th, the latest Premium Live Event took place in Atlanta, Georgia, featuring the return of Hell in a Cell and Roman Reigns competing for the first time since WrestleMania. While the main event saw the return of Jimmy Uso and the closing angle was the return of The Rock to WWE, fans in the arena spotted something else.
As seen via phone footage from fans, Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes in the backstage area by his tour bus, seemingly letting frustrations boil over after Rhodes agreed to an alliance with Reigns given their history.
The attack has not been acknowledged by WWE themselves and an official video has not been released. Taking to social media, Paul Levesque said that he was aware of what happened and they are looking into it:
“We are aware of the incident outside of the arena last night between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens,” he wrote. “The matter will be dealt with internally.”
The reported reason for the apparent heel turn not being televised is because fans typically react positively to the attacks when done live.
