Trick Williams dethrones “Dirty” Dom.
As seen at NXT No Mercy, Williams was able to defeat Dominik Mysterio to become the new North American Champion.
Much to the annoyance of Mysterio, Dragon Lee was the special referee for the match, with Mysterio protesting the speed of Lee’s count right from the outset. Mysterio tried to run away on multiple occasions but was stopped by Williams.
Mysterio attempted a Superkick but caught Lee, sending the referee to the outside. Another WWE official would make his way to the ring, but was also accidentally taken out by The Judgment Day member.
The match ended when Mysterio tried to use the title but Williams hit a knee onto the championship onto Mysterio’s face as Lee counted the winning pin fall.
The victory vindicates Williams’s belief that he is more than Carmelo Haye’s sidekick by winning his first championship in WWE.
