Tommaso Ciampa has recovered from injury.
The former NXT Champion made the surprise return to WWE on the June 19th episode of Raw, defeating former ally The Miz in the opening match of the show.
The first match was scheduled to be Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight Championship in an open challenge. As Rollins made his entrance, Finn Balor attacked the champion. Following multiple Coup de Graces, Rollins was unable to compete.
The Miz, irate at the decision, revealed that he was going to answer the open challenge. Wanting to pick a fight with somebody, The A Lister issued a challenge of his own, which was answered by Ciampa.
Tommaso Ciampa has not been seen since September 2022, being out of action due to sustaining a hip injury.
